So, it's come around again; welcome to the start of the Wellington Fringe Festival for 2018. And with it again comes a plethora of shows that are seeking reviews. And we promise we're going to deliver, but to do so and keep our lovely contributors afloat, we're making a few changes to our approach over the Festival.
More Concise Reviews
During the Fringe Festival, we're using a much more concise length for our reviewing format, but we will still provide the same level of honest, constructive feedback to the artists that we promise in our vision and kaupapa. With many more shows to review and a limited number of writers, we're hoping this change will optimise our coverage of the Festival and ease the stress on our small team of reviewers and editors.
TL;DR Concept
We're also rolling out special "micro-reviews" to whet the reader's appetite while our full reviews are in the works. Our "TL;DR Reviews" are posted shortly after our reviewers see the show and uploaded directly to our Facebook page. These act as little teasers of the show and the review to come. Once the full review is live, this information is also shared through our Facebook page.
Questions and Feedback
We want to continue our promise in providing reviews that help local artists with their work, so if you have questions about these changes and additions, feel free to sendus an email ([email protected]).
